MONUMENT GLASS - MONUGLAS®

Many listed buildings still contain the authentic glass of the past. Beautiful glass with irregularities, because the glass was not as smooth and sleek as today. Monuglas® is monument glass that has the characteristic appearance of the past with the insulation value of today.

APPLICATION

Monumental glass is used in the restoration of monuments and historical buildings. The authentic look of the glass lends itself perfectly to this. Depending on the period from which the monument dates, a specific type of Monuglas® is recommended.

Monuglas® Modern
Monuglas® Modern has no distortion but a modern industrial look. Originally, this type of glass was used in buildings after 1960.

Monuglas® Classic
Replication of classic monument glass has a slight curve and soft light reflection. This type of glass was used between 1930 - 1960.

Monuglas® Historic
Replication of historical glass with strong wavy distortion and high light transmission. It was used in the late 19th, early 20th century. Produced using the Fourcault process, it has the appropriate distortion consistent with National Monuments of the time.

The different types are characterised by different thickness, insulation value (U-value), soundproofing performance and possible light and heat transmission.
