BURGLARY-RESISTANT GLASS
Most burglaries take place through windows. Burglary-retardant glass is laminated glass made up of two or more panes of glass that, together with one or more film layers, form a single unit. If the glass breaks, it sticks to the elastic PVB film. This ensures that burglary is prevented, or that the time it takes a burglar to enter is significantly extended.
FEATURES OF BURGLAR-RESISTANT GLASS
Burglary-retardant glass is also called burglar-resistant glass and resists hard objects being thrown and repeated impacts on the glass. There are six increasing resistance classes (WK) for burglary-retardant glass:
APPLICATION
Burglar-resistant glass can be found in all building types where increased security is desired. These include homes, offices and shops. Burglar-resistant glass of the highest resistance classes (WK 4-6) is used in particular in banks, jewellers, museums, etc. Intrusion-retardant or burglar-resistant glass should always be combined with other material, such as hardware, that corresponds to the relevant resistance class.
