GLASS PROCESSING
Glass processing allows a glass product to be given exactly the desired look or size by drilling, grinding, cutting, milling, gluing, sandblasting, printing or tempering.
TYPES OF GLASS PROCESSING
All kinds of glass processing are possible with different techniques. Glass sheets can be ground or milled and angled, rounded corners or cut-outs can be made. It is also possible to drill holes in glass or grind it into mitres or facets. Techniques to achieve these operations include drilling, grinding, milling, cutting, gluing, hardening, sandblasting or printing.
APPLICATION
Glass processing allows glass sheets to be made suitable for certain applications. For example, recesses can be made in the glass or the glass can undergo other processing to make it exactly the right size. Handles or cut-outs are easy to realise in glass panes. Milling or grinding the edges of the glass is also possible. Sandblasting is used to make glass less transparent.
